Raison d'ĂȘtre

"There has been so much talk about the economy - falling stock markets, housing market slumps, bankruptcies, job losses and companies going belly up that it’s enough to make us feel uneasy about our future.

There is a pattern embedded into our consciousness that prepares us for polarity - light and darkness - good and evil - hills and valleys - yin and yang.

Even when the most despoiling particulars happen to us, our Soul is unharmed. Our Soul is a catalyst. Our Soul is an invincible player in the game of life. It can crawl through the mud, sand, water, jump over hurdles, go through fire, leap from tall buildings and do whatever it takes to survive. It is our ally. Our companion. Our guidance. Our Soul survival is our raison d'ĂȘtre."

Writing From The Inside

"As writers, we hope that our words reach as many people as possible and that our words are within reach of everyone. We make the intangible tangible. We show you the world through our eyes. Our pain is not always palatable, our struggle is not silver-lined, but our happiness is in reaching you.

In my summation of J.K. Rowling, I see a lady who survived struggle. A lady who in her darkest hour, saw the light. I see a lady who in her superhero dreams would love to fly - and is effectively doing it for millions of fans. I see a writer who has created a whole new world of survival; a new world of living and a new world of dreaming."

Happy Surviving

"We are assigned a different number for every year of life and that number is a reward for the trails and tribulations we survive."

Swim For It

"When you behave in a less than desirable way, or in a way where you take advantage of others or treat them egregiously, there are consequences. When you have no self-respect, no one with self-respect will respect you.

When you find yourself in a pickle, no amount of money, lawyers, power or fame will set you free. No amount. Money is meaningless to God. Lawyers are not above the law of God. When you’re in over your head, a lawyer may be able to rescue you temporarily, but a lawyer can't teach you how to swim. You eventually have to save yourself -- swim for it -- and the force greater than you will assist you. You want your life back? Swim for it."

Journey For The Prize

"We start with all the hope in the world, knowing that we are going to win the coveted prize. We already have plans of what we are going to do with it once it is in our grubby little hands.

We begin trotting, then galloping. Once we get into full stride, we find it grueling and almost impossible to complete. We run into blinding sandstorms, swirling locust swarms, other riders trying to knock us off of our horse, intense physical, emotional and spiritual depletion; no food, no water in the desert alone, facing death, yet we still persevere.

When we fall off of our horse from exhaustion and we think its over, we get a second wind and get up to finish the race. During the race, we are taken to our limits. Then something miraculous happens? Our limits are redefined. We have gone beyond what we "thought" were our limits.

We survive only to be turned free to run with the gods. No longer chained to a body. Just free. That is the prize."
