Slammed Shut

"Signs from the universe are tangible. The message that we need to see or hear is often in front of us. Anyway we look at it, no matter how hard we push a closed door it won't open. No matter how strong our desire is to open the door, it is closed. No matter how alluring the other side is, it is closed.

It is closed for a reason. We are not meant to go inside. Even if somehow we get the door open, it still may slam shut. That is a sign. There is nothing there for us anymore."

Start From Scratch

"What makes a person unhappy or bitter? You can trace it all the way back to something in their soul that broke down and instead of repairing the crack, it grew and grew until it enveloped them into a black sticky mass.

There comes a time in everyone's life when we just have to forgive ourselves and start again. Strip away everything that we don't like about ourselves, our lives and rebuild from scratch. Otherwise, we kill our spirit and that's just not a way to live.

Apologize to yourself, apologize to those you have hurt. Even if they are not here believe that wherever they are, they will hear your words and they will forgive you. Clear the air from your head, heart and soul and start from scratch. Leave the past in the past and start now.

We can never go back to the past in our present condition, we have already grown away from it, it no longer fits. We just have to be here now and be loving to those around us."

Total Eclipse

"When there is something in our heart that causes hurt, it causes a total eclipse of our Soul. When we are feeling cloudy, we are blocking the sun from melting the ice in our heart. So what do we do? Ask the universe for the pain to be released. It's in the asking that we begin to find relief and thus the pain begins to dissipate the dark clouds from our Soul. The eclipse starts to move away as the universe gives us the answers that we need. It may not take away the pain completely at first, but it will give us the understanding to move forward until the pain eventually falls by the wayside."

Swimming In Your Head

"Did you know that the muscle of the brain can bench-press incredible weight? Theories. Emotions. Memories. Sensations. Pictures. Colors. Movement. Process senses. And still have power to move everything back and forth with proficiently like a well oiled machine.

Over 80% of the brain is water, and thus an incredible synchronized swimmer doing all kinds of feats if we let it. Though the brain is the captain of the body, we are the master of our fate. We have to think or sink.

The brain lets us know that we have a Soul. When the time is right, the brain hands over the keys to the Soul so the Soul can let us continue our journey."

Random Acts

"Random acts of kindness occur as often as random acts of violence. The only difference is that kindness doesn't hurt. Kindness doesn't kill. Kindness doesn't spread hate. Kindness doesn't make it to the news, but nevertheless it still affects us as deeply as violence. If we each performed a random act of kindness everyday, imagine how the world would change? The level of kindness would hit like a tsunami and wash over all of us. Then we would really see harmonic evolution knock violence to its knees."

Start Fresh

"Whether we have made resolutions or not, it is time to start anew. There still may be old emotional sediment in our mind, heart, and consciousness from various situations that didn’t turn out in our favor. Let’s burn those old feelings in effigy before they get etched into our Souls any deeper.

If there is really something that we want to do, we can visualize it first. The pursuit of the prize (anything that we want to accomplish), creates a space in our minds for receiving the prize. That is to say that it prepares us for the end result.

Do you know that before we accomplish anything, we have already accomplished it? It’s true. There’s a duality that exists between our mind and our Soul.

Our mind paints the picture provided by our Soul. These two entities are coworkers in our consciousness."

New Years Resolutions

"My permanent New Year's resolution is to have no resolutions! It’s worked for me all my life. Just living in the moment of love and gratitude is my motto. If we remember to have a clean heart, we never have to watch our step. When we treat people the way we want to be treated, we will always be treated well. Be good to everyone."

The Noose

"It is vital for each of us to be fully
engaged in life and not to be
attached to some electronic device
hanging from our ears,
hands, or necks like
a technology noose."

Every Minute

"Christmas is not just for a day. It’s every minute of everyday. All day. All week. All month. All season. All year. It is the celebration of everyone to better ourselves. To be our true selves and tap into our goodness. If we can’t be good to ourselves then we can’t be good to anyone else.

A gift is what you give the world. A gift is your heart. Your passion. Your loyalty. Your word. Your integrity. A gift is knowing how to treat another person. Making their darkest hour their brightest realization. Giving love even when you feel you need it. A gift is closing your eyes and being able to open someone else’s eyes - and open their heart."

Dead To Life

"How much time and energy
do we put into dead relationships
or in the pursuit of a relationship
that is not meant to be?
If it is meant to be,
nothing will stop it.
If it is not meant to be,
nothing will bring it together.
If we continue to beat a dead horse,
we will not have any energy to
nurture the foal.
It is the foal that gives us
the promise of a new life.
A love unfettered by loss.
A chance to love something new.
A chance to open the parts of
us that we thought were dead.
It is like watching the
dead come to life."

How You Came To Be

"Have you ever wondered how you came into being? How you think what you think? How you act like you act? Why you love who you love? Why you walk the path you walk? We are all walking mysteries at various stages of development. Human beings are astounding. We can do so many things, more than we think are imaginable.

We can be ground down to almost nothing, get up and regenerate. When we have completed a learning cycle, we get to start another one. Our Soul knows where to go and knows what to do. It has built-in knowledge of our inner workings."

Love's Irony

"When we are in love,
we see the flowers bloom,
the bluest of skies,
birds sing on our window sill
and butterflies land
on our shoulders.
When love turns sour,
we see dead flowers,
dark thunder clouds
and notice the birds
are tone deaf.
Such is the nature
of love's irony."

God's Details

"Multitasking is making us pay less attention to the things we should pay attention to more. It is splitting our attention so much that we’re making ourselves attention deficient?

We are not giving enough attention to detail. The quality of time is becoming scarce. There is nothing wrong with doing your best, focusing your attention on the task at hand, taking your time and doing a magnificent job instead of just getting by. God is in the details.

You will find that when you are not distracted, you are giving your best to the moment, to the other person, to yourself - - and that in itself is peaceful. You then translate that peace and genuine interest in everything you do."

Carry The Tune

"Stop what you are thinking right now. Stop. Let the noise stop. Let the knocking in your head stop. Now listen. This is a process that you can do every time you find yourself at wits ends. It centers the mind and clears the static. It tunes your hearing so you can hear a pin drop. And when you can hear a pin drop, you can hear the voice of God singing you a love song. Carry this tune in your head. Carry the tune of God and you will sing it too."
